Training and Practice

Stage 1: 40 hours self-study (Foundation Level)

Stage 2: 10 hours of workshops (Professional Level)

Stage 3: 70 hours

Part A: 20 hours of workshops led by local / international trainers (hybrid delivery)

  • Teaching from local/international text books (mandatory)
  • Language Awareness (mandatory) (includes micro-teaching/presentations)
  • Teaching in Different Circumstances
  • Language Games and Material Development (includes micro-teaching/presentations)
  • Classroom Interactional Competence and Motivation Strategies
  • Assessment (in a local context)
  • Teaching the Skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) in a local context

Part B: 50 hours assessment and observed teaching practice (Teaching in a local context and teaching practice in real environment / classroom settings)
